Romans 12:2 (Phillips Translation)         M. Doerr
"Don't let the world around you squeeze you into its own mold, but let God remold your minds from within, so that you may prove in practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all his demands and moves toward the goal of true maturity."

There are pressures to conform all over the place.  It would be easy to just go with the flow, to not make waves, and to follow the thinking of our world about things.  Are you frustrated and angry?  The world says to vent your frustration and punish those who oppose you.  But what is the result?  The rest of the world becomes more miserable, and you don't feel any better.  God has a better idea.  Take God's approach to life, which is to love more and share more and to want good things for those who treat you badly.  Why is this a better way?  Well, it prevents bitterness in us and is more likely to change the other person than revenge and punishment would.  Being remolded by God makes us more aware of the blessings of life, and changes us from the inside out into the person God intends for us to be.
